• Hotel distance from Haram: Hotel 200m from Masjid al-Haram costs more than one 800m away. The premium is often justified for older pilgrims or anyone with mobility considerations.
• Christmas peak pricing: Dates between approximately 20 December and 4 January carry a premium of around 10–15% compared to early December travel. If flexibility exists, travelling 7–14 December avoids the peak surge.
• Booking timing: Packages are available now for December 2026. Booking between now and September typically secures better availability and pricing. Leaving it until October or November means limited hotel choices and higher fares.
