For those who want to spend as much time as possible at the Haram without exhausting themselves walking back and forth, our 5 star packages put you in hotels that are genuinely steps from Masjid al Haram in Makkah and Al Masjid e Nabawi in Madinah.
Some of these hotels sit within 200 metres of the Haram entrance. You can pray Fajr, return to your room, rest and be back for Dhuhr without any kind of transport. If you are elderly, have mobility difficulties or travelling with very young children that proximity makes an enormous practical difference to your pilgrimage.

Outside of Ramadan and school holiday periods, May through to September generally offers lower pricing though summer months in Saudi Arabia are extremely hot with temperatures in Makkah regularly above 40°C. January and February tend to offer a good balance of reasonable cost and manageable temperatures for UK pilgrims.
For most travel periods 3 to 6 months ahead is sensible. For Ramadan particularly we would say 6 to 9 months minimum. Ramadan hotel allocations and flight seats are secured early and once they are gone, the prices for whatever remains go up sharply.
