QUICK ANSWERAs of 2 November 2026, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has not announced when Nusuk Hajj 2027 registration opens for UK pilgrims. Last season, account registration opened on 7 October 2025, with package booking later. You can fill in Nusuk’s interest form now, but it does not reserve a place.

Since October our phones have been busy with one question: “Is Hajj registration open yet?” Not fully, is the honest answer. This guide explains how Nusuk Hajj 2027 registration works if you live in the UK, what last season’s timings tell us, and what you can get ready today so you are not rushing when the window opens.

It is written for first-time pilgrims and for anyone who last went before the system moved online. Every step comes from the official portal, last season’s process and the questions UK families ask us most.

Is Nusuk Hajj 2027 registration open yet?

Not for full registration. As of 2 November 2026, Nusuk shows an interest form for global packages, but account registration for the 1448 AH season and package booking have no announced dates. The Council of British Hajjis (CBHUK) expects registration to open between late October and early November 2026, based on previous years.

What is open right now

On Nusuk you will see a “Registration Form for Global Packages”. Think of it as a mailing list. You leave your details and Nusuk emails you when the season opens. It does not hold a place, it does not start your application and it does not guarantee a Hajj visa.

Fill it in anyway. It costs nothing and means you hear the news at the same moment as everyone else.

What last season tells us

For Hajj 2026 (1447 AH), account registration for Muslim-minority countries opened on 7 October 2025. Package selection, payment and visas came later, in separate phases announced along the way. Industry estimates put package booking for 2027 around February, but nothing is confirmed. Use last season as a guide, not a promise.

How Nusuk Hajj works for UK pilgrims

UK residents book Hajj directly through Nusuk Hajj, the official Saudi platform. You create an account, pass verification, choose a package from an authorised service provider and pay inside the platform. Your Hajj visa is then issued through the same system, so there is no separate embassy application.

Who books through Nusuk Hajj

Nusuk Hajj covers pilgrims from Muslim-minority countries, including the UK, the EU, the USA, Canada and Australia. Eligibility follows your country of residence, not your nationality. So a British Pakistani living in Birmingham registers under the UK, not Pakistan.

If you hold dual nationality or moved to the UK recently, check which country you select. That choice decides which quota you fall under.

What changed for UK agents

This is the part many people still miss. A UK travel agent cannot sell you a Hajj place outside Nusuk any more. Only licensed providers approved through the platform can supply Hajj packages, and every payment goes through Nusuk. Anyone asking you to pay them directly for a “confirmed” Hajj place is a warning sign.

Nusuk Hajj 2027 registration step by step

Registration runs in stages and you cannot skip ahead. Based on last season’s portal, the order is: create your account, complete your profile and documents, add companions, pass verification, choose a package category, fund your e-wallet, book a package, then receive your visa. The screens may change for 2027.

Step 1: Create your account

Go to hajj.nusuk.sa, select the United Kingdom as your country of residence and register with your email address and mobile number. Verify both. Nusuk will never ask you for your password or a verification code by phone or message.

Step 2: Complete your profile and documents

Enter your details exactly as they appear on your passport, including any middle names. Last season the portal asked for a passport scan up to 1 MB and a photo up to 200 x 200 pixels and 1 MB, with a white background. Upload proof of UK residence if asked.

Step 3: Add your companions

Add your spouse, parents or children to the same account before verification. Last season one account could hold up to seven family members. Families who register separately and then try to merge later often find it far harder than doing it once at the start.

Step 4: Wait for verification

The Ministry checks each profile before you can move on. Keep an eye on your email, including spam. If something is rejected, it is usually a name mismatch or a photo problem, both quick to fix.

Step 5: Choose a category and fund your e-wallet

Package categories differ mainly by Mina camp location, Makkah hotel, meals and transport. Once you pick a category, you load money into your own Nusuk e-wallet with your bank card. Only pay into the platform.

Step 6: Book your package and receive your visa

You then book a package from an authorised provider using your e-wallet, and your Hajj visa follows through Nusuk. Check carefully whether flights from the UK are included, as many packages cover the ground arrangements only. To see what a full UK package usually involves, our Hajj 2027 packages from the UK page sets out the options.

Planning Hajj 2027 from the UK?

Our UK team helps with Nusuk registration, documents and package choices.

Documents to prepare before registration opens

Get your passport, a compliant photo and proof of UK residence ready now. Most delays we see come from small mismatches: a middle name on the passport that is missing from the form, a photo with a grey background, or a passport that runs out too soon. All of these are easy to fix in November and stressful in February.

Passport validity

Your passport should be valid for at least six months after your travel dates, and some guides advise eight. With Hajj expected in mid-May 2027, aim for a passport valid until at least the end of 2027. If yours expires sooner, renew it now through HM Passport Office.

Photo and scans

Use a recent photo with a plain white background, face clearly visible, no glasses glare. Scan your passport photo page in colour and check every letter is readable before uploading.

Proof of UK residence

British passport holders usually need nothing extra. If you live here on another passport, have your UK residence evidence ready, such as your eVisa details, so your profile matches the country you select.

ACWY vaccination

Saudi Arabia requires the quadrivalent meningitis vaccine (ACWY) for Hajj, with a certificate. Book it with a travel clinic or pharmacy in good time, as there is a minimum gap required before arrival. Check current advice on TravelHealthPro.

Mistakes that cost UK pilgrims their place

Most problems come from four habits: treating the interest form as registration, registering family separately, paying someone outside Nusuk and assuming another visa will do. Each one can mean a lost place or lost money.

Treating the interest form as registration

The interest form only puts you on Nusuk’s mailing list. When the 1448 season opens, you still need to create your account and complete every stage.

Registering your family separately

Agree who is travelling before the window opens. Add everyone to one account at the start so you are verified and booked together.

Paying someone outside Nusuk

Red flags include a request for a bank transfer to a personal account, cash payments, a “guaranteed visa” or a deadline that pressures you to pay today. UK police warned British Muslims about Hajj fraud again in 2026 for this reason. If you think you have been targeted, report it to Action Fraud on 0300 123 2040.

Assuming the new Saudi ETA covers Hajj

Saudi Arabia launched an Electronic Travel Authorisation for British passport holders on 1 July 2026. It does not cover Hajj. Hajj visas still come only through Nusuk.

Doing it yourself or with UK support

You can complete Nusuk registration yourself, and many people do. Where an experienced UK team helps is everything around it: checking documents before upload, grouping family correctly, comparing package categories and having someone to call when the portal throws an error late at night.

What you can handle yourself

If you are comfortable online, have one or two travellers and your documents are in order, you can register on your own. Read every screen twice before you submit.

Where support makes a difference

Larger families, elderly parents, first-timers and anyone with a complicated passport history tend to benefit from a second pair of eyes. Travel to Kabah has supported UK pilgrims for 19 years, and our UK team is on WhatsApp 24/7 throughout the season.

To be clear about what no one can promise: places are set by Saudi quotas, so no agent can guarantee you a Hajj 2027 place. Anyone who does should worry you.

Your Hajj 2027 checklist for this week

You can do most of the preparation before registration opens, and it makes the real thing much quicker. Work through this list now and you will be ready on day one.

Before registration opens

  1. Check every passport in your group is valid until at least the end of 2027.
  2. Take compliant photos and scan each passport photo page.
  3. Fill in Nusuk’s interest form for global packages.
  4. Agree who is travelling and gather their details.
  5. Book ACWY vaccinations.
  6. Set a realistic budget for the package, flights and spending money.
  7. Follow CBHUK and Nusuk for the opening announcement.

Plan the months ahead

Registration is only the first stage of a timeline that runs to May 2027. Our guide to the expected Hajj 2027 dates sets out each month, from booking to the Day of Arafah.

Frequently asked questions

When does Nusuk Hajj 2027 registration open for UK pilgrims?

No date has been announced as of 2 November 2026. CBHUK expects it between late October and early November 2026, and last season’s account registration opened on 7 October 2025. Fill in Nusuk’s interest form to be emailed the moment it opens.

Does registering on Nusuk guarantee a Hajj place?

No. Registration lets you apply and, if successful, book a package. Places depend on the UK’s Saudi quota and on package availability when booking opens. Your place is only secure once you have booked and paid for a package through Nusuk and your visa has been issued.

Can a UK travel agent register me for Hajj?

Your account is in your name and the booking and payment happen inside Nusuk. A UK agent can guide you, check your documents and help you compare packages, but they cannot sell you a Hajj place outside the platform or take payment for one.

How many people can I add to one Nusuk Hajj account?

Last season one account could include up to seven family members. Add your companions at the start, before verification, so your group is checked and booked together. The 2027 limit may change, so check the portal when it opens.

Can I perform Hajj on the Saudi ETA or a tourist visa?

No. The Saudi ETA for British passport holders, launched on 1 July 2026, excludes Hajj, and tourist visas do not allow Hajj either. You need a Hajj visa, which is issued through Nusuk Hajj after you book and pay for a package.

What if I do not get a Hajj place for 2027?

Many pilgrims perform Umrah while they wait for another Hajj season. For the 1448 season, Umrah visas are issued until 9 March 2027 and the last entry date is 23 March 2027. Take a look at our Umrah packages for 2026/27 if you want to plan one.

Ready when Nusuk opens

Nusuk Hajj 2027 registration has not opened yet, but the pilgrims who get through smoothly are the ones who prepared in November. Sort your passports, photos and vaccinations, decide who is travelling, and keep watching for the official announcement.

If you want someone to check your documents or talk through package categories, speak to our Hajj team. Call or WhatsApp +44 20 3504 5185, any time of day. UK quotas are limited and the best Mina categories usually go first, so the sooner you are ready, the better your choice.
